Hiya, I have just found phatch and love it. I just wondered how on earth do I get phatch to save its manipulated image in the same location as the source image?

for example, I am trying to go through my mp3 collection and process all my album covers (resize) -> (rename) -> (save) and the last part trips me up. I can't find out how to get

/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2008 - The Red Album/weezer - red album.jpg

to save as

/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2008 - The Red Album/cover.bmp

I can save it in another folder, pretty much anywhere I like except the original folder

Help!

If you want to save it in the same folder, you specify <folder> as folder.

In your example, you would configure the save action as:
Filename: cover
As: bmp
In: <folder>

Thanks for getting back so fast. I tried what you suggested but it generates one cover in the wrong folder. I have a file structure like this

/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2002 - Maladroit/weezer - maladroit.jpg
/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2005 - Make Believe/Weezer - Makebelive.jpg
/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2008 - The Red Album/weezer - red album.jpg

and running phatch like this

Filename: cover
As: bmp
In: <folder>

from "/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/"

doesn't save anything in "/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2008 - The Red Album/"

it makes one .bmp in "/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/"

is it possible to make phatch scan the subfolders and place the processed file in the subfolder the source image is found in? something like this:

/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2002 - Maladroit/weezer - maladroit.jpg
/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2005 - Make Believe/Weezer - Makebelive.jpg
/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2008 - The Red Album/weezer - red album.jpg

becomes

/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2002 - Maladroit/cover.bmp
/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2005 - Make Believe/cover.bmp
/home/david/cleanmusic/Rock 90s/Weezer/2008 - The Red Album/cover.bmp

Does "<folder>/<subfolder>" work?
