It could extreamly help in visualy testing sharpness, distortion etc of the lenses.

1. Put selected EXIF information as text on the picture (Extend Text action with selected EXIF tags)
2. Put all images in a matrix (Let Matrix action combine all pictures in one, I dont find repeating same picture very useful)

That would allow photographers testing lenses to make a nice pipeline croping + marking aperture and exposure + combining into matrix.

I am really looking forward into that feature. I think a software has a potencial.

One more thing, would it be possible to have it integrated with nautilus ? So I can select files and through right click menu send it to phatch processor ?

1. Put selected EXIF information -> Is possible already, unless I misunderstand you. Can you give an example

2. Use PhotoPrint for Matrix: sudo apt-get install photoprint

Nautilus integration is already there. Right click and choose 'Open With…>Phatch'

1. Are there any examples how to do that ? I saw that there is only #Date_EXIF tag in menu.
Maybe very short tutorial how to do that on website would be nice.
What I did now is I renamed files putting EXIF information I want in file name to have it on each picture.

2. Unfortunately photoprint is not so nice, it crashes really a lot. Also it would be very time saving to use one application. I like the idea of pipeline which phatch brings, but it would be nice also to have some kind of multiplexer node that allows to use different images in next step, or just an option in matrix to align different images not just one.

That would save a lot of time and pain when comparing pictures, also it should not be that hard to implement ? Just iteration along all loaded files instead of one file and making it an option ?
I am sure someone familiar with code should be able to add this feature pretty easily.

1. Date Exif tag is just an example. You can insert any exif tag.

In the image inspector you can now even right click and inject the variable into the action.

2. It is something we had already thought about, also for web galleries, photo collages, … Technically it is not difficult. The user interface design is more an issue as we want to keep Phatch simple. Could you create mockups of an user interface?
