Problem processing phatch via python script

i'm trying to call phatch from a webpage

my dir structure is like that
batch
|— actions
|— files
but i'm not sure it is related

if i run command line : phatch -c -r ./grey.phatch ./files/

it runs perfectly
so i did

os.chdir('/var/www/batch/actions')
retcode = subprocess.call(['phatch', '-r', '-c', 'grey.phatch', './files/'],0)

and nothing is processed

I didn't test it, but you better add shell=True to the call or use '/usr/bin/phatch'.

It was not relative to subprocess.call or os.system. But on the fact that phatch is tryig to create a .phatcu user (www-data in /var/www) dir and that it has not the right to. I created anually and no it's OK. May be something to add in documentation :)

That's strange. Phatch tries to create that in your home folder (~/.phatch = /home/user/.phatch). Phatch should never try to create something in /var/www if you run it as a normal user. As which user did you run phatch?
