I'm looking for a solution to rename jpg files by date parameters, but I want to use always two digits even when, e.g., the month is January to September. The solution provided in the help files doesn't seem to work; infact, if I write <anno>-<mese##>-<giorno##>-<ora##>-<minuto##>-<secondo##>, Phatch says "the variable 'u'mese##'' doesn't exist".

Sorry if this is a FAQ, but I didn't succeed in an hour of surfing the site…

Hi,

On my version (0.1.5 locale = french), the correct syntax is <##année>-<##mois>-<##jour>.

Try <anno>-<##mese>-<##giorno>-<##ora>-<##minuto>-<##secondo> rather than <anno>-<mese##>-<giorno##>-<ora##>-<minuto##>-<secondo##>

First of all, thanks for answering.
You are right, the syntax I reported is a wrong one, but, as a matter of facts, it was just a mistyping matter: neither prefix nor postfix notation works, since they both give the error dialog box I reported of in the top of this topic…
Tell me, does your solution work in French localization of the software?

hi,

I got the same issue with the french translation.
The string format <##année>-<##mois>-<##jour> doesn't work, I've got the same error message : "variable X doesn't exist".
Is-it any solution to try in another language ? If it should work in English, I would be able to switch Patch in this language !

Hi,
If you think it is a bug, please file a bug report on launchpad. Attach a zip file with your action list and example image(s). If I can reproduce the problem, I can solve it.

You can start Phatch in english by:

phatch -l en
