No problem - glad to be of some assistance… :D

btw. I've just watched your Libre Graphics presentation a couple of days ago - nicely executed, it made some architecture/design stuff clear for me ;)

Hi Dennis,
Don't worry. Just read quickly the getting started tutorial and everything will become clear:
http://photobatch.wikidot.com/getting-started

(This tuturial has been translated to dutch, french, german in case you speak a different language.)

If you are hungry to read more, you can also read:
http://photobatch.wikidot.com/tutorial-round-3d-reflect

Do not forget to add a Save action in the end.

In Phatch you can not open/save photos, you open/save action lists (=recipees) which you can apply to as many photos as you want.

Good luck,
Stani

First of all - welcome to the light side ;)

You are almost there:
after having action set up just click the gears icon on the toolbar (or click Tools->Execute)
new window will open
in it, click "Browse folder", select the folder with your pictures and then click "Batch" button … thats it!

Hello,
I'm new to this application as well to Ubuntu. I have been on the MS rolly coaster for too long. I have made the switch. I just cant quite figure this one out. How do I get my pictures and photobatch to resize my pics properly? I have 100 picture that are over 1 meg each (Kodak 8.1 meg digital camera) in size. I just want them to be smaller (400 Pixles X 600?) so I can zip them and send them to my sister through an email attachment. Do I bring my pictures from the folder through the "open" or some other process?

For example? I have the photos in my "pictures" folder. I open Photobatch, I click the plus Icon, it opens, I click on "scale" and change "width and hight" then click "antialias" and check resize only. I save and now what? I have Gimp and Lphoto applications too, is there an easier way with gimp?

Thanks for your time, Love Linux stuff, but it is hard to switch after being trapped in Windows for many years.
Dennis
